Payment processing and POS for independent pharmacies
FSA and HSA cards, prescription pickup, and front-store retail on one system, set up for an independent pharmacy.
Why it's different here
What I look at for pharmacies
An independent pharmacy is two businesses at once: the pharmacy counter and the front store. Payments have to handle FSA and HSA cards correctly, signatures for pickups, and everyday retail, without slowing down the line.
For pharmacies I can set up CashierLive, a POS built by pharmacists. It connects to your pharmacy management system, accepts FSA and HSA cards, tracks prescriptions and sends refill notifications, and handles inventory with one-click reordering.

Where pharmacies usually lose money
FSA and HSA cards declining
Health spending cards only approve eligible items. A POS that does not know which items qualify causes declines at the counter.
Two systems that do not talk
When the register and the pharmacy software are separate, staff enter things twice and reports never quite match.
Front-store inventory
Reordering by walking the aisles wastes time. Inventory tied to sales tells you what to order.
Pickup signatures
Signatures belong in one place on one device, not on paper logs.

Good to know
Questions owners ask me
What does a pharmacy need to accept FSA and HSA cards?
The register has to know which items are eligible. When an FSA or HSA card is used, the system approves it only for eligible items, such as prescriptions and qualifying front-store products, and the customer pays the rest another way.
A POS built for pharmacies handles this. A general retail POS often doesn't, which is a common reason those cards decline.
How is a pharmacy POS different from a regular retail POS?
It connects to your pharmacy management system, so prescriptions ring up with the right price and patient. It also captures pickup signatures, handles FSA and HSA cards, and runs the front store like any shop.
Two separate systems usually mean double entry and end-of-day numbers that never match. For pharmacies I can set up CashierLive, which was built by pharmacists.
Can my pharmacy take payment for deliveries?
Yes. A wireless terminal that runs on cellular lets your driver take a tap or chip payment at the door, or you can text the patient a payment link before the delivery goes out.
Paying ahead by link is often easiest, since the driver never handles a card.

Many owners run more than one kind of business. These cover the rest.
